The container is just a couple inches tall and the lid is tight and won't open accidentally. There are two sides, for salt & pepper or whatever.
Importantly, it is small enough to fit in a lunchbox or (my wife's) purse as a way to toss seasoning into a lunchbox. Having a solid construction with a lid that won't pop off (but can be opened easily enough) was key here, and this fit the bill. The translucent container is thick enough at this diameter to be nearly bulletproof, and clear enough to see what is inside.
It won't drive your car or mow your lawn, but it will salt your brown-bag leftovers.
