I take salads to work a lot and this is not big enough for that. I use cold packs so am not sure if it would leak with regular ice; condensation from the packs leaves wet marks on the inside of the tote so melting ice might soak through. The tote also does not keep items cold (I use the same ice packs in my regular lunch carrier and those items stay cold all day). I have been disappointed in this item and would not purchase again.
